So friends it has been a minute!
Wow, a whirlwind of a year so far! I feel like I blinked and it’s almost September already!? WHAT? BRING ON THE PUMPKIN SPICE! I’m so pumped for all the fall smells and crispy air.
Anyways, here is a look at the most recent engagement shoot I did for my friend Liz and her fiance, Eric. Like a lot of relationships today, Liz and Eric met on Eharmony. Since then, they have grown their relationship within the walls of Starbucks and surrounded by those they care about. Here is the story of our spontaneous Beach Engagement Session…
Side note: If anyone reading knows Liz personally, we all know she is incredibly spontaneous-so spontaneous it stresses me (a big time planner) out a lot. It’s okay though Liz, we still love you!
On July 27th I had the privilege and opportunity to take Liz and Eric’s engagement pictures. I found that with wedding planning, work, and home renovations having and sticking to a schedule is 110% necessary. However, for people we love, we make exceptions.
Liz and Eric got engaged on July 18th and wanted me to do engagement pictures for them. But oh boy, trying to coordinate schedules when I work evenings and she works nightshift was like pulling teeth out of cat. We had finally picked a date and it was the night before my early flight out of town for my wedding in Jackson Hole. They got engaged on the beach so were really hoping for engagement pictures on the beach, I knew with leaving early the next day that wasn’t going to happen so they settled for a session in a local park. On Friday night when I spoke to Liz about her family beach day the following day, I had a spontaneous idea to come to the beach later in the day to take engagement pictures. I rallied Vincent and we brought friends with us and headed to the beach at 3pm. We got to the beach and enjoyed the late afternoon hours on the beach and then met up with Liz and Eric to capture their love and new chapter of life. We had GORGEOUS weather and beach conditions which is a rare occasion for Liz and I, it’s either freezing with high winds, a storm rolls in, or we both get fried and are low-key lobsters in real life and on camera. All this to say, this session was perfection and we had a great time capturing their love story and I hope you can feel the love they have for each other through these little screens.
Liz and Eric, I am so excited for you, I’m over here cheering you on and wishing you the best as you enter into this new life together! Love you both and I cannot wait for your wedding!!
Oh my goodness Liz and Eric! What beautiful pictures! You two look like the Princess and her Prince. What a beautiful couple! So happy to know both of you and so happy to have you both at Awaken. Love, “The Other” Liz
